عيد سعيد:  Happy Feast

تصحيح:
يوجد  عند مستخدمي اللغة القبطية تعبير شائع خطأ هو
Ⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ϣⲁⲓ
بمعنى “عيد سعيد”. وهو تعبير خطأ لأنه لا يتكون من إسم وصفة يؤديان المعنى المطلوب بل يتكون من إسمين متجاورين ( أي
( in juxtaposition)
وكلمة
ⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ
ليست.صفة معناها “سعيد” بل هي إسم معناه “منفعة / خير”. أي أن:
Ⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ϣⲁⲓ
معناها حرفيا هو  “منفعة. عيد”
وهو تعبير لا معنى له.
وأنا أقترح
ⲟⲩϣⲁⲓ (ⲛ̀)ⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ
بمعنى “عيد سعيد” حرفيا “عيد حسن”.
But there is a problem which is that ⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ generally follows a constuct form, but still there is ⲧⲏⲩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ: Crum 240a.

وأرحب بأي اقتراح أفضل بمعنى.”عيد سعيد”.

Happy feast

Correction : of ⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ϣⲁⲓ:
Those who try to speak Ⲥⲟⲣⲧⲓⲥ use a wrong expression which is Ⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ϣⲁⲓ to mean “happy feast”.
But this is a wrong expression because it does not consist of a an adjective and a noun which express the required meaning, but it consists of two nouns in juxtaposition.
And the word ⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ is not an adjective which means “happy”, but it is a feminine noun which means “good, profit, advantage. So it is a meaningless expression.
And I suggest ⲟⲩϣⲁⲓ (ⲛ̀)ⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ for “happy feast”.
But there is a problem that it generally follows a constuct form, but still there is ⲧⲏⲩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ: Crum 240a.
Ⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ is an adjective which means “good”.

And I welcome any suggestion for a better Coptic translation of the English expression “ Happy Feast”.
